FIRST-ANNUAL JAY AUSTIN SIMPLY BE KIND FOUNDATION BIKE RIDE & PICNIC EVENT

Jay Austin loved cycling for the fun of it, for its health benefit, and for its reduction of greenhouse carbon emissions in lieu of auto travel, since he also used his bike to get to work.

In the United States, transportation is now the largest source of carbon emissions, with the personal automobile being the single greatest polluter.

Reducing Your Transportation Footprint

Jay was also a huge fan of the Sunday afternoon old-fashioned down-on-the-ground in-the-park picnic, although covered picnic tables are provided at the pavilion.

Sadly, on July 29th, 2018, while Jay was cycling the world, after 389 days in

and after traveling through 27 countries,

he was tragically and brutally murdered in a terrorist attack in Tajikistan, a country in Central Asia, simply because he was an American.

In honor of Jay, in his memory, and to keep his spirit alive, we've organized this bike ride and picnic and hope you can join us ..

singles, families, the young and the young at heart.

We ride and picnic for you Jay!

'I could die doing what I love, but I could also die never having really lived.  To me, that would have been a far greater tragedy.'  - Jay Austin

Jay really lived .. up until the very moment he was intentionally brutally murdered in a terrorist attack while cycling the world.

Jay lost his life simply because he was an American.
